Location: Greenwich Park, Rose Garden
Time of Year: July / afternoon
Greenwich Park is such a lovely place for taking pictures. Rose Garden alone is a gated quiet part of the park where children can play safely, and enjoy the beautiful surrounding. There is plenty of space to run around but still within an eye reach for parents and, my lens. Trust me, I need to keep it in mind when my models are three young children, full of beans and ready to play! Before I even took the first shot I knew there is going to be a lot of running on my part too. But its ok, it keeps me in a good shape;) Playing games and having fun is so important in capturing natural interactions. And girls did great doing exactly that.
Here are some images from the day. Enjoy!
While mum was setting up a picnic under the trees, girls had fun chasing each other, and playing with bubbles. I always have a spare bubble bottle in my bag. It’s allows me to create a moment for children to focus on something for a short while and in one place. It takes a few seconds for the bubbles to fly, so there is always a great opportunity for me to take a picture even with the most active child. I wanted to capture plenty of natural shots, and the roses gave a dreamy background to the genuine, fun-loving interactions between the sisters.
The pictures are stunning and capture my girls’ personalities. I love every single one of them and can’t wait to share them with my family and friends.Alicia
