Time of Year: summer time
Glorious day in Cornwall. Perfect weather – sun, wind, rocks and waves.
I wanted to share this photo session with you as I absolutely loved the family I’ve photographed and their easy going, super organic way of being. Loving playful energy. All that, and the stunning rugged surrounding of the place.
I have followed the family with my camera, taking pictures in an unobtrusive photojournalistic style, no posing or staging anything. Everyone quickly accepted my presence and let me into their day, sometimes interacting with the camera as if it was another member of the family.
Naturally, soon after we have reached the beach, children went exploring; started to climb the rocks and run into super cold water; then they build the sand creations and everyone had great day interacting with the environment. Doesn’t it sound wonderful? I love climbing rocks, getting into water on a hot day, being with elements. I had plenty opportunities for very natural shots. Than quicker than anyone realised it was late and we needed to pack our belongings as the tide was coming in.
I have checked the tide times the day before. It’s one of those important things to be aware while heading to the coastal bay areas. It would be very disappointing going to a beautiful place at the wrong time, and finding out it is under water. Or worse, putting anyone in danger.
A short photo story from that lovely afternoon.
