Location: Greenwich Park, London
Time of Year: early autumn
It’s a warm autumn afternoon. The sky is covered with handful of friendly clouds and the air feels fresh.
Once again we are at the Maritime Greenwich in London, and today this beautiful place is my office:)
Many of my family sessions are done in the local area of Greenwich and I can’t stress this enough how grateful I am for having such stunning locations in my doorstep.
Today I’m photographing a lovely family of four, and a sweet little dog called Molly. We meet by the Planetarium and make our way down through the park, the Queen’s House and to the Old Royal Naval College.
I always recommend to select a location that you like and where your feel relaxed. Often those are places local to where we live but sometimes we have our dream locations where we travel too. Although the location does count, the focus is always on the family members (including pets of course), and the interactions. This family wanted to come to the place they have good memories with, with plenty of space and where they could take Molly.
My sessions often are as simple as a walk in the park. That’s how it went that time too. Nothing staged. A family enjoying an afternoon time together. They had a wonderful energy as a family – there were plenty of smiles, cuddles and interactions. I had and easy day at work and even the weather was on my side.
